The Philippines will host the 2nd ASEAN Regional Correctional Conference in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, from February 14 to 17, 2025.
The event, titled “Shaping the Future of Corrections Together,” will bring together leaders from ASEAN prison services to discuss common challenges, share best practices, and collaborate on transforming correctional systems.
Topics to be discussed include alternative sentencing, inmate rehabilitation, community reintegration, digital transformation in prison management, and improved inmate documentation.
Representatives from the 10 ASEAN countries, as well as ambassadors from 28 international organizations, are expected to attend the conference.
This will be the first time the Philippines has hosted the event.
