PHILIPPINES AND AUSTRALIA JOIN FORCES AGAINST TRANSNATIONAL CRIMES

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is boosting cooperation with Australia to combat child exploitation, cybercrime, terrorism, and transnational organized crime.

Australian Ambassador Marc Innes-Brown and officials from the Australian Federal Police met with acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. at Camp Crame on October 23.

Both sides discussed intelligence sharing, capacity building, and technology-driven solutions to enhance joint operations against major crimes.

Nartatez praised Australia’s support for PNP programs that improve technical and investigative capabilities.

He emphasized that the partnership strengthens regional peace and security while protecting Filipinos and upholding the rule of law.
