The Philippine Embassy in Thailand and the Filipino community expressed condolences to Thailand’s Royal Family and people following the death of Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on Oct. 24.
She was remembered for her unwavering devotion to the Thai people and her lifelong service to the Kingdom.
Queen Sirikit championed rural development, empowered local artisans, and promoted the preservation of Thai culture, leaving an enduring impact on the nation.
The 93-year-old queen, mother of King Vajiralongkorn and widow of Thailand’s longest-reigning monarch King Bhumibol Adulyadej, had suffered several illnesses since 2019.
The embassy highlighted that her legacy will continue to inspire future generations, and the Filipino community stands in solidarity with Thailand in mourning her loss.
