Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo captured the gold medal in the vault event at the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Indonesia.
Yulo, competing third, posted scores of 15.200 and 14.533 for a total of 14.866, holding off Armenia’s Artur Davtyan, who finished second with 14.833.
This marks Yulo’s second vault gold at the World Championships.
Earlier in the competition, he also won a bronze medal in the floor exercise event.
Yulo, a double Olympic gold medalist from last year’s Paris Games, continues to demonstrate his elite form on the global stage.
