The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported the arrest of 1,167 individuals involved in illegal drugs during January, alongside the confiscation of around ₱113 million worth of shabu, marijuana, cocaine, and Ecstasy.
The operations also accounted for 206 additional suspects and the seizure of 209 firearms as part of a crackdown on loose weapons.
NCRPO authorities collared a total of 1,334 wanted persons last month, including 489 Most Wanted Persons, while 1,793 individuals were arrested for illegal gambling.
NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin said these operations demonstrate sustained pressure on crime networks and reflect coordination, discipline, and accountability on the ground.
The police emphasized that their efforts aim to maintain public safety, address the root causes of crime, and deliver measurable results for communities.
