Vince Dizon assured that all unfinished infrastructure projects left by contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya in Metro Manila will be completed before new projects begin.
Under the Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office, 38 incomplete projects across Pasig, Marikina, Mandaluyong, Taguig, and Pateros are being assessed for termination and rebidding to ensure accountability and quality.
Priority projects include schools, health centers, multipurpose buildings, roads, and flood control works, with close coordination between the Department of Public Works and Highways and local government units to prevent delays.
Dizon inspected the delayed slope protection project along the Pasig River, where 18-meter sheet piles are being installed to stabilize the area and mitigate landslide and flooding risks.
Local officials, including Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, praised the improved monitoring and coordination, emphasizing the benefits of early inspections and collaboration.
