Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna inaugurated the 20-storey San Sebastian Residences near the University Belt, offering “rent-to-own” housing units to qualified city residents.
The new policy replaces perpetual renting with ownership opportunities once occupants fully pay for their units. The project features 243 residential units, 57 parking slots, a swimming pool, function rooms, and other amenities.
During the ceremony, Lacuna awarded units to the first 20 city hall employees and encouraged residents to contact the Manila Urban Settlements Office for inquiries.
Vice Mayor Yul Servo and other city officials joined the event to highlight the city’s commitment to providing affordable housing.
