Former Senator Panfilo Lacson described the 2025 midterm elections as a “game changer” due to the active participation of young voters and the significant impact of social media.
He emphasized that the polls resulted in “big surprises” with unexpected wins and upsets.
Lacson highlighted the growing influence of millennials, Gen Z voters, and social media in shaping the election outcome.
As of 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Lacson ranked in the top seven of the senatorial race with nearly 14.9 million votes.
He reflected on the elections as a reminder of the power of voter engagement, saying that in the end, it is the people who decide, which is the essence of democracy.
