Jimuel Pacquiao, the eldest son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, fought to a majority draw in his professional debut against fellow debutant Brendan Lally at Pechanga Resort & Casino in California.
One judge scored the four-round lightweight bout 39-37 for Pacquiao Jr., while the other two scored it 38-38, resulting in a draw.
Lally, the taller and more aggressive fighter, often pressured Pacquiao Jr., forcing him to the ropes, though Jimuel landed some notable overhand rights and uppercuts.
The fight was part of Manny Pacquiao’s first U.S. boxing card under his Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP), with both parents in attendance and visibly concerned at times.
Despite the draw, Jimuel avoided a losing start to his professional career, building on his experience from at least 10 amateur bouts.
