With a supermajority of 285 lawmakers backing Speaker Martin Romualdez, President Marcos’ call for unity has been realized in the 20th Congress, Quezon Rep. David Suarez said.
Suarez praised the House’s cohesion, trust, and strong leadership under Romualdez, noting that 279 lawmakers have signed a manifesto of support.
The 19th Congress, led by Romualdez, passed over 230 laws and delivered key measures such as the Maharlika Investment Fund and the New Agrarian Emancipation Act.
The convergence of major party-list groups reflects broad institutional confidence in the leadership’s ability to push the administration’s legislative agenda.
Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong highlighted Romualdez’s support for Marawi’s rehabilitation as another example of effective governance.
