First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos joined the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in distributing relief goods to Manila residents affected by Severe Tropical Storm Crising, the southwest monsoon, and a recent third-alarm fire.
Alongside PNP Chief Nicolas Torre III and PCSO officials, the First Lady handed out “Charitimba” food packs on Legarda Street.
The affected residents had already suffered from a fire earlier this month before floodwaters damaged their homes.
Each relief pack included canned goods, ready-to-eat meals, and three kilograms of rice.
The initiative aimed to bring immediate aid to disaster-hit families struggling with compounded hardships.
