Senator Bong Go sent his Malasakit Team to assist displaced and disadvantaged workers from various towns in Bohol, including Mabini, Loay, Candijay, and others.
The initiative, supported by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and local government officials, provided temporary employment through DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program.
Go personally distributed essential goods such as vitamins, shirts, shoes, and sports equipment to 854 beneficiaries.
As part of his legislative efforts, Go filed Senate Bill (SB) 420, which seeks to create the Rural Employment Assistance Program to provide temporary jobs for low-income rural families.
Go also co-authored SB 2534 to raise the nationwide minimum wage and supported the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Act to boost local economies.
