Employees in Eastern Visayas, including domestic workers, will receive wage increases starting December under new Wage Orders from the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
Private sector workers will get a PHP35 daily raise in two tranches, raising the minimum wage to PHP470 for larger non-agriculture and service establishments, and PHP440 for smaller businesses and agricultural sectors.
The increase applies to cities such as Tacloban, Ormoc, and Calbayog, as well as the provinces of Leyte, Samar, and surrounding areas.
Domestic workers, or “kasambahays,” will see their monthly salaries rise by PHP400 in major municipalities and by PHP300 in other areas, bringing minimum pay to PHP6,400 and PHP5,800, respectively.
All wage adjustments will take effect on December 8, 2025.
