DEPED PLANS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM TO BOOST LEADERSHIP SKILLS OF PRINCIPALS

The Department of Education (DepEd) has partnered with Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) and Security Bank Corporation (SBC) to enhance school leadership and improve classroom development across the Philippines.

This collaboration includes the expansion of DepEd’s principal mentoring program and support for nationwide school infrastructure projects, aligning with President Marcos’ push to improve education quality.

The mentoring program, which involves both local and international partnerships, will focus on principals’ leadership skills over three years, with training in personal growth, school improvement, and community engagement.

Security Bank has already contributed significantly to education, having built over 800 classrooms and invested nearly P1.9 billion in education since 2011.

The partnership underscores the importance of developing school leaders to ensure that infrastructure investments lead to better student outcomes.
