DELA ROSA REQUESTS SENATE MANSION USE; SOTTO DENIES OVER REPAIRS

Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa requested Senate President Tito Sotto’s permission to allow his family to use the Senate Mansion in Baguio City from March 26 to 29 for the CSAFP Cup 2026.

The request was denied due to ongoing repair works at the mansion, according to Senate Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza.
Dela Rosa has been absent from the Senate since November, following an ICC arrest order related to the crimes against humanity case linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte.

His prolonged absence has led to the loss of almost all committee memberships, with other senators taking over his posts.

He has also faced an ethics complaint filed by the civil society group “Wag Kang KuCorrupt.”
