DAVAO CITY REP. OMAR DUTERTE PROPOSES CENTRALIZED LABOR INFORMATION SYSTEM

Davao City second district Rep. Omar Vincent Duterte filed House Bill 4081 to create a centralized labor information system under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The proposed system would consolidate worker, union, and job opportunity data nationwide to connect job seekers with employers and monitor labor law compliance.

Duterte said the platform aims to streamline government services and provide accurate, real-time labor information to workers, employers, and labor groups.

Currently, DOLE operates several separate digital platforms for job postings, employment reports, and statistics that are not integrated.

The bill is now pending referral to the appropriate committee for deliberation.
