GCash recently honored outstanding digital leaders and innovators at the GCash Digital Excellence Awards 2024, held at Conrad Manila.
The event recognized individuals, local government units (LGUs), and organizations for their significant contributions to advancing digital technology and promoting a cashless, connected future in the Philippines.
Globe Group Chairman and CEO, Ernest L. Cu, emphasized the company’s mission to revolutionize financial services for Filipinos, stating, “GCash empowers financial services.”
Assistant Secretary Rolando C. Puno of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) highlighted the importance of financial literacy and the role of digital wallets like GCash in reaching more Filipinos.
Notably, Cotabato received the “Digital Breakthrough Growth Award” for its pioneering efforts in digital innovation, enhancing governance, and improving citizens’ quality of life.
