The Bureau of Corrections welcomed President Marcos’ decision to grant government employees a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) of up to P20,000 this December.
BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. said the incentive would boost morale and recognize the dedication of personnel during the Christmas season.
The SRI, issued under Administrative Order No. 40, covers Executive branch employees, military and uniformed personnel, and staff of state universities, GOCCs, and other government agencies.
Catapang also highlighted the President’s Executive Order raising base pay for military and uniformed personnel, to be implemented in three tranches starting January 2026.
Additionally, all personnel will receive an increased subsistence allowance of P350 per day beginning January 2026, up from the current P150.
