Bacolod City has been recognized as one of the top five finalists for the 2024 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards (City Level 1B) by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
City Administrator Dr. Lucille Gelvolea accepted the award on behalf of the Bacolod City government at a ceremony held at McKinley Town Center in Taguig City.
Other finalists include Iloilo, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, and Mandaue in Cebu.
Out of 17 highly urbanized cities outside the National Capital Region, 11 participated in the PCCI’s competition.
The winner will be announced next month, with Bacolod City being recognized for its initiatives promoting trade, investments, and local economic development.
