Former DPWH Secretary Babes Singson has resigned from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), effective December 15, with a possible extension to December 31.
ICI Chair Andres Reyes cited the intense and stressful workload as the reason for Singson’s departure.
Reyes assured the public that the commission’s investigative work, including cases on the flood control scam, will continue despite the resignation.
Singson was appointed in September to help address corruption in government infrastructure, following the creation of the ICI.
His resignation follows that of Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong, who stepped down as the commission’s special adviser.
