ANTIPOLO-BASED FIGHTER EYES UFC BREAKTHROUGH IN MACAU MATCH

Kimbert “The Hunter” Alintozon earned a spot in Road to UFC Season 5 after Australian fighter Matty Iann withdrew due to injury, giving the Antipolo-based fighter a chance to pursue a UFC contract.

The 27-year-old Filipino will face Nepali Rabindra Dhant in the bantamweight quarterfinals at Galaxy Arena in Macau on May 28.

Alintozon holds a 7-3 record and recently secured a TKO win in Vietnam, which helped him gain entry into the tournament.

A former boxer, he trains at Alpha One Gym and is aiming to follow in the footsteps of Filipino UFC fighters like Brandon Vera and Mark Muñoz.

A strong performance in Macau could move him closer to securing a UFC contract.
