Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos confirmed that fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy, an alleged human trafficker and sex offender, is still in the Philippines.
Abalos stated that intelligence reports indicate Quiboloy’s continued presence in the country and vowed to intensify efforts to capture him.
Quiboloy, who faces charges including human trafficking, sexual abuse of minors, and maltreatment, is also wanted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Abalos urged Quiboloy to surrender and address the serious allegations against him, emphasizing that he remains presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The Interior Secretary also mentioned ongoing investigations into a raid on Quiboloy’s Davao City compound, which has led to complaints against him and top police officials.
