About 34 public and private schools across Eastern Visayas have been selected as pilot sites for the revised Senior High School (SHS) program, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced.
The pilot includes 30 public schools and four private schools spread across various cities and provinces in the region.
Under the revised program, students will choose between two strands—Academic Track and Technical-Vocational Track—replacing the previous four strands.
The curriculum has been streamlined to five core subjects, with electives tailored to students’ interests and career goals.
DepEd aims for the revision to better prepare graduates for employment and entrepreneurship.
