Jhon Patrick Panelo sank a buzzer-beating four-point play to lift Olivarez College past Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas, 81-80, in a dramatic overtime win in the UCAL Season 7 Finals.
With seven seconds left and trailing by three, Panelo received an outlet pass and nailed a long three while drawing a foul, converting the bonus free throw for the win.
The victory forces a do-or-die Game 3 on Thursday at Paco Arena. Panelo delivered a standout performance, finishing with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.
PCU-Dasmariñas, which had several chances to seal the game, collapsed in the final moments of regulation and overtime.
