Filipina tennis star Alex Eala reunited with Polish ace Iga Swiatek over the weekend at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca for a joint workout ahead of the clay season.
Both academy alumni trained together before heading to Austria and Germany for upcoming tournaments, with Eala debuting at the Upper Ladies Linz Open and Swiatek skipping that event.
The pair will face off again in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart and the Mutua Madrid Open, where Swiatek previously defeated Eala in 2025.
Eala, who reached a career-high WTA ranking of No. 29 last year, has slipped to No. 45, while Swiatek fell from No. 3 to No. 4.
Their renewed training signals a buildup toward the Roland Garros in Paris, set for May 18 to June 7, with fans anticipating more exciting matchups.
