Amnesty International has warned that the Trump administration’s continued assault on human rights is fueling a worsening global crisis.
In its annual report, The State of the World’s Human Rights, Amnesty said President Trump’s actions during the first 100 days of his second term have undermined international institutions and emboldened anti-rights leaders worldwide.
Secretary General Agnès Callamard accused Trump of showing “utter contempt” for universal rights, targeting principles such as asylum, racial and gender justice, and climate action.
The report highlighted global trends of escalating conflict, crackdowns on dissent, and increasing attacks on the rights of women, migrants, and LGBTI people.
It also condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, warning of a broader erosion of accountability when powerful nations flout international law.
