TikTok Shop will start charging sellers a P5 “order processing fee” per order beginning December 1, joining Shopee and Lazada in imposing the additional charge.
The platform said the fee aims to support sustainable growth, improve the shopping experience, and fund new features, including AI-assisted tools.
To ease the transition, TikTok Shop will initially charge P3 per order starting Dec. 1 until further notice.
The fee is applied on top of existing transaction fees and VAT, regardless of the number of items or total order value.
Despite being a latecomer to the Philippine e-commerce market, TikTok Shop has quickly grown, challenging Shopee and Lazada with its “Shoppertainment” approach to online shopping.
