The Philippine Deaf Table Tennis team was honored for winning 25 medals at the Southeast Asian Deaf Games in Jakarta.
The team secured seven gold, six silver, and 12 bronze medals, finishing second overall among participating nations.
They notably won five of the country’s seven gold medals in the competition.
The Table Tennis Association for National Development (TATAND) held a victory lunch where cash rewards were given to the medalists.
Coach Kurt de Guzman praised the athletes’ dedication, while special recognition was given to Charlie Lim and Philip Uy for their contributions to the sport.
