Subic Bay welcomed the first cruise ship of 2026 as the MS Crystal Symphony docked on March 14 with 550 tourists on board, greeted by SBMA employees and local students.
Passengers disembarked for tours of Subic’s historical sites, shopping malls, and nearby Clark Freeport, highlighting the area’s growing appeal as a cruise destination.
Subic is planning a P10.2-billion cruise terminal to establish itself as a premier turnaround hub in Southeast Asia, with at least eight international cruise ships confirmed to visit this year.
Upcoming arrivals include Adora Mediterranea, MS Amadea, MV Piano Land, and frequent visitor Costa Serena, signaling a strong rebound for the local cruise industry.
Since its cruise tourism launch in 2018, Subic has welcomed dozens of ships, generating significant revenue, though operations were paused during the COVID-19 pandemic.
