Senator Grace Poe urged the management of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to prioritize passenger comfort during the peak Holy Week travel season.
With over 150,000 passengers passing through the airport on Palm Sunday, Poe emphasized the need for clean facilities, functioning air conditioning, and reliable utilities, particularly given the hot summer weather.
She also highlighted the importance of adequate staff deployment at check-in, baggage handling, and security areas to avoid delays.
Poe added that the Department of Transportation should work with relevant agencies to ensure smooth operations and address potential disruptions.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) expects around 550,000 travelers at NAIA until Holy Wednesday, a significant increase compared to last year.
