SAN MIGUEL BEERMEN STRIVE TO REESTABLISH UNITY IN THE PBA FINALS

San Miguel Beer’s CJ Perez downplayed rust as the reason for their Game 1 loss in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, citing a lack of team cohesion as the primary issue.

The Beermen aim to rebound from their 93-86 defeat against the Meralco Bolts when they face off again on Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Another loss could jeopardize San Miguel’s dominant campaign while bringing Meralco closer to their first PBA championship.

Perez highlighted the need for better ball distribution and overcoming offensive and foul issues.

Despite Terrence Romeo’s injury, San Miguel remains favored but needs improved performances from key players to counter Meralco’s balanced attack.
