President Marcos announced that Samsung will invest P50.7 billion to expand its operations in Calamba, Laguna, creating at least 3,000 new jobs.
The expansion was facilitated by the government’s CREATE MORE law, which provides tax incentives for large-scale investments.
Marcos highlighted that Samsung’s commitment reflects growing investor confidence in the Philippines’ economic reforms and governance.
The company will also focus on technology transfer and workforce training in partnership with Philippine universities.
Marcos added that recent anti-corruption efforts have helped restore trust among foreign investors, strengthening the country’s investment climate.
