The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported the seizure of 211 loose firearms from January to August 28, 2024, as part of its intensified anti-firearm campaign.
QCPD Director BGen. Redrico Maranan praised the efforts of his officers, who conducted 196 operations and arrested 201 individuals.
The Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) led by LtCol. Morgan Aguilar had the highest number of confiscations, followed by the Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS-13) under LtCol. Leonie Ann de la Cruz, and the La Loma Police Station (PS-1) led by LtCol. Romil Avenido.
Maranan highlighted the significant impact of these operations in enhancing public safety.
