The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) ramped up its relief operations, delivering over 10,000 liters of clean water to typhoon-hit communities in Apayao, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan.
PRC Chairman Richard Gordon said immediate support was vital, especially in Calayan, Cagayan, where Super Typhoon Nando damaged at least 450 houses.
In Ilocos Norte, families received hot meals, medical consultations, basic medicines, and psychosocial aid, while children participated in child-friendly activities.
The PRC also distributed hygiene kits, launched health campaigns, and provided psychological first aid to ensure the well-being of displaced families.
The NDRRMC reported that recent typhoons Mirasol, Nando, and Opong left 26 dead and displaced over 46,000 families.
