PHILIPPINES SENDS 15 LIFTERS TO COMPETE IN ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN QATAR

The Philippines is set to send 15 athletes to compete in the Asian Youth and Junior Championships from December 16-23 in Qatar, with participants aged 13-20. 

Leading the team is Angeline Colonia, a silver medalist from the recent Cambodia SEA Games, alongside notable athletes like Lovely and Kim April Inan, Rose Jean Ramos, and Jhodie Peralta. 

The men’s division features athletes such as Eron Borres, Aldrin Colonia, and Prince Keil Delos Santos. 

The team will be supported by officials from the Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas (SWP), including President Monico Puentevella and a team of coaches. 

The Philippines has a strong track record in previous championships, with numerous medalists in past events, reflecting the nation’s potential for success in the upcoming competition.
