Philippine Airlines (PAL) has maintained its position as the most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific for the fourth consecutive month, achieving an on-time rate of 84.67 percent in November.
The airline completed 96.31 percent of its 9,739 scheduled flights despite cancellations from typhoon precautions and disruptions caused by a recent Airbus software update.
PAL outperformed the regional average of 79.81 percent, followed by Korean Air at 83.72 percent and Jeju Air at 83.25 percent.
Globally, Aeromexico led on-time performance with a 91.36 percent rate, highlighting ongoing operational challenges in the aviation industry.
To support growing demand, PAL plans to expand its fleet to 83 aircraft and expects to receive its first Airbus A350-1000s by this month or January.
