The Pag-IBIG Fund has activated its calamity loan program to assist members affected by Severe Tropical Storm Crising, allowing qualified borrowers to access up to 90% of their savings.
CEO Marilene Acosta said mobile branches under the Lingkod Pag-IBIG On-Wheels initiative will be deployed in coordination with local governments to process loan and insurance claims.
Housing Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling emphasized the agency’s readiness to provide immediate aid, in line with President Marcos’ directive for swift disaster response.
The loan features a low 5.95% annual interest rate, payable over three years with a three-month grace period.
Members in declared calamity areas have 90 days to apply, even as Pag-IBIG offices in affected zones continue operations despite storm impacts.
