Thai artist Lalisa Manoban, better known as Lisa of Blackpink, is set to star in a Netflix romantic-comedy film, marking another acting project after her debut in the third season of The White Lotus.
The film is being developed with The White Lotus executive producer David Bernad, and screenwriter Katie Silberman of Booksmart and Don’t Worry Darling is penning the script.
Lisa will also serve as executive producer alongside Alice Kang of her management label LLOUD, while Bernad will produce through Middle Child Productions.
The rom-com’s premise draws inspiration from the 1999 classic Notting Hill, reflecting Lisa and Bernad’s shared appreciation for the film.
Beyond acting, Lisa continues to promote Thailand as a Tourism Authority ambassador and is preparing for the release of Blackpink’s fourth extended play, Deadline.
