Several countries have expressed support and sympathy for the Philippines following the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu on September 30, which has claimed 72 lives.
European Union Ambassador Massimo Santoro conveyed the EU’s solidarity and condolences to the victims.
Thailand’s Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow also extended condolences and pledged assistance for recovery efforts.
Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar expressed readiness to support affected communities during this crisis.
Additionally, the EU has released over P54 million in humanitarian aid to help communities affected by recent tropical cyclones and other disasters in the Philippines.
