Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has ordered the Manila Police District to strictly enforce curfew hours for minors following violent incidents during anti-corruption rallies on September 21.
The curfew, set from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., applies to minors aged 17 and below, as per Executive Order No. 2, Series of 2025.
The directive aims to protect minors and maintain peace during mass gatherings.
Violence broke out on Ayala Bridge and Mendiola, where masked youth protesters clashed with police, injuring a policeman and a reporter.
Police arrested around 17 youths, including an 11-year-old, and used water cannons and loud devices to disperse rioters in Mendiola.
