MAYOR BIAZON COMMITS TO ACTION AGAINST BULLYING IN MUNTINLUPA SCHOOL

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon vowed to hold a student accountable after a bullying incident left a 15-year-old victim hospitalized.

Following the incident, the mayor convened school officials, counselors, and the parents of both the victim and the alleged perpetrator to discuss the matter.

The student accused of bullying expressed remorse, while her parents revealed she had also been a past victim of bullying.

Mayor Biazon stressed the need for a holistic and strategic approach to address bullying beyond just punishment, including enforcing school policies and programs.

The Schools Division Office and school officials were ordered to continue investigating and impose sanctions if necessary, while the victim’s family retains the option to pursue legal action.
