MARCOS: MY SENATE BETS ARE TOKHANG-FREE, ANTI-CHINA, AND CORRUPTION-FREE

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. launched his campaign rally without mentioning former President Rodrigo Duterte but aimed key criticisms of his administration.

Speaking in Ilocos Norte, Marcos emphasized that none of his senatorial candidates were involved in the bloody “tokhang” drug war, had ties to China, or engaged in pandemic-related corruption.

He also referenced a “false prophet” accused of abuse, a veiled jab at Apollo Quiboloy, a known Duterte ally.

Marcos further criticized Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs), which thrived under Duterte but have since been banned.

His remarks highlight the growing political rift between the Marcos and Duterte camps as the 2025 midterm elections approach.
