President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has established the Education Philippines (EduPhil) Program to promote the country as a destination for international students seeking higher education, research, and training.
Created through Executive Order No. 124, the program will strengthen academic cooperation, research, and innovation while making it easier for foreign students to study in the Philippines.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) will lead the program and oversee the EduPhil Task Force.
An EduPhil Portal will also be created to streamline government services for international students.
The program aims to boost the internationalization and competitiveness of Philippine higher education.
