Marcos urged Filipinos to live in a way that honors the sacrifices of soldiers and civilians, both Filipino and American, who fought for freedom.
He also expressed the importance of remembering the countless lives lost during the Battle of Manila, which left the city devastated.
The Manila American Cemetery, home to over 17,000 American service members and nearly 36,300 missing individuals, stands as a solemn reminder of the war’s sacrifices.
