The Philippine National Police has deployed tracker teams to arrest tycoon Charlie “Atong” Ang in connection with the alleged kidnapping and killing of several cockfighting enthusiasts in 2021, following an arrest order from the Santa Cruz, Laguna Regional Trial Court.
Ang faces multiple charges, including kidnapping with homicide, and similar cases are pending in San Pablo, Laguna, and Lipa, Batangas.
Of the 18 accused, 15—including nine police officers—are already in PNP custody, while law enforcement continues searching for Ang and two others.
The court has declared the offenses non-bailable and required body-worn cameras to document the arrests.
Authorities urged Ang to surrender peacefully amid the intensified manhunt, highlighting the government’s commitment to holding all perpetrators accountable.
