Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong denied rumors that he resigned from office, clarifying that he remains committed to his post.
He explained that his appointment by President Marcos as special advisor to a commission investigating anomalous infrastructure and flood control projects does not conflict with his mayoral duties.
Magalong stressed that he can fulfill both responsibilities effectively. While some residents have raised concerns about his capacity to juggle roles, city officials and community leaders expressed support for his expanded mandate.
The mayor assured Baguio constituents that he remains focused on serving the city.
