LTO ISSUES SUMMONS TO MOTORBIKE OWNER OVER VIRAL PARKING INCIDENT

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has summoned the owner of a motorcycle caught on video parked in the middle of a busy road in Antipolo City, sparking outrage online.

LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza expressed shock over the incident but emphasized the importance of due process, stating that the motorist has the right to explain their actions.

Mendoza assured the public that firm action would be taken if the explanation was unsatisfactory.

The LTO issued a Show Cause Order (SCO) to the motorcycle owner, requiring them to appear at the agency’s office on March 24 and explain why they should not face administrative charges.
If the owner fails to comply, the case will be decided based on available evidence, and their driver’s license could be suspended or revoked.
