Actress Kylie Padilla jokingly said she would leave the Philippines if her father, Sen. Robin Padilla, decides to run for vice president in 2028.
Robin previously stated he would only run as the running mate of Vice President Sara Duterte under the directive of former President Rodrigo Duterte, adding he would give way to more experienced politicians if needed.
Kylie made her remark during a screening of her latest movie, emphasizing she trusts her father’s judgment despite her playful reaction.
She later clarified on Facebook that her comment was meant humorously and out of a desire for a peaceful life, not to criticize her father.
Robin’s family includes his children with ex-wife Liezl Sicangco, including Kylie, and two daughters with current wife Mariel Rodriguez.
