A bill in the House of Representatives seeks to increase monthly cash grants under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for education, health, and nutrition.
House Majority Leader Ferdinand “Sandro” Marcos III said the Appropriations Committee is working to pass the measure to strengthen social protection for low-income households.
The proposed amendments raise education grants to P500–P900 per month, depending on grade level, increase the health grant from P750 to P1,800, and provide additional support for children with disabilities.
The bill also introduces a Food and Nutrition Cash Grant of P1,100 per month and institutionalizes the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) grant for children aged zero to two.
Lawmakers said the strengthened 4Ps aims to keep children in school, improve health and nutrition, reduce poverty, and build a more productive workforce.
