Mav Ahanmisi of Barangay Ginebra has publicly revealed that he requested a trade for the first time during the offseason.
In a vlog, the 34-year-old guard explained that he wants more playing time to showcase his skills amid Ginebra’s crowded backcourt.
Despite his appreciation for teammates and fans, Ahanmisi emphasized that, at this stage of his career, he must prioritize his future and family.
His agent later confirmed that he has been cleared for a trade.
Ahanmisi did not participate in Ginebra’s opening-day loss to Magnolia Hotshots.
